KiteArea Team : The summer is approaching fast, then what did you do this winter ?

Fabienne : After alternating winter surf sessions, a month in Hawaii and the organisation of the Grand Prix Petit Navire, no time to be bored ! Especially as that for the Grand Prix Petit Navire Kite, I organised it (with all the staff, once a time, thanks to Tania, Thierry, Nanou, Delphine, Emilie, Maurice, etc..), and I also participate to the event ! I think I like this kind of contest !



KiteArea Team : This new season seems to be the season of changes for you, what can you tell us about it ?

Fabienne : Yes indeed. Spring was marked by my transfer to Naish, after many years passed with Cabrinha. Renewal is good, this remote, it permits to be on the top of form ! You should know sometimes turn the pages ! Furthermore, the image suits me, as tha products also.





KiteArea Team : Tests of Race began and your results are quite promising, spring seems to do good for you ?

Fabienne : Yes, spring has been driven by race tests, it's good for the form ! I finished 1st (Arcachon, Douarnenez and Fréjus), and then we will start the PKRA season race, starting with Portugal from June 24 to 28 !

KiteArea Team : So good luck for Portugal. Let’s talk about your passions : the sea and nature, can you tell us more ?

Fabienne : The waves are my priority, even in surf than in stand up. In addition, it permits to be complete and varied, and to make progress. Meanwhile I learn to windsurf ! And if the majority comes from the windsurf, I do the opposite !



KiteArea Team : And for nature ? As you know KiteArea and sustainable development are inseparable, and we work a lot in this respect of environment, respect of the sites, wildlife ... You organize an event in the sense I know ?

Fabienne : For Nature, I'd like to do more and more because the state of our planet is really serious. It seems that human being is a parasite, he can not be content with what nature gives, he wants always more. Our “highest intelligence” compared to animals is showing his limits. We are sawing the branch on which we are sitted. But things seem to move anyway, and that’s great. A trip is effectively planned for autumn... We seek money to promote on one hand the country and surf of course, and on the other hand mainly to explain how an ecological surfwear brand functions : the production of natural cotton, the factory, the products used and all the human aspects; to explain the trade fair. As you can see, the waves and act for Nature are my priorities !
Otherwise, in the daily life, we try to do a lot of things for nature : dry toilets, mechanical mower, natural products, but there is still a lot of things to do !



KiteArea Team : Finally, can you tell us what are your favorite brands at the moment ?

Fabienne : For waves, Naish equips me ! I love the kites(Helix) and I sail mostly with the fish 5.7. A bomb ! A real surf, without straps, I forgot the kite ! And for nature, Envao provides me natural cotton clothes issued from fair trade, which we'll explain this autumn ! I have also Weleda that provides me in natural cosmetics and pharmaceuticals products, so I can use products 100% naturals, that’s great !
