Kitearea : Where do you come from?
Ania : I come from Poland, Wroclaw.
 
KA : Did your friends give you a nickname? Never had like one nick name, sometimes on AG AG : some trips I would get a nickname but it wouldn´t last for long.
 
KA : When did you start Kitesurfing?
AG : In April 2002.

KA : Where do you live?
AG : Spain, Málaga

KA : What are your favourite spots (at least 5)?
AG :  Cumbuco, Brazil
Cabarete, Dominican Republic
Aitutaki, Cook Island
Moulay, Morocco (Wave Spot)
 
KA : Who are your favourite music groups?  
AG : There is about million of them. It all depens on the mood or day or etc... :)
 
KA : What brand do you use in Kitesurf now?
AG : North Kiteboarding.
 
KA : Can you give us your feedback on this or these brand(s)?
AG : The kites I´m using is Vegas, which is a C-shaped kite made basically for freestyle. This year it´s a very fast and powerful kite which allows you to use smaller sizes even when the wind is light:)
For freestyle I use the girls North board called Paris 129cm. The board is really flexible, with good pop, made in a snowboard technology what helps you to stay up wind really easy and cut good for the tricks. As for the waves I´m using a Kontact board and a LTD board for racing.
 
KA : What is your worst memory of navigation?
AG : Probably it was one day, just after I learnt how to kite, my dad got me a 6m kite for the first time. It was really windy and when I wanted to launch the kite I put it straight through the power zone and made a ¨superman¨! Basically I just flew some meters in the air and than smashed into very shallow water.
KA : What is your best memory of navigation?
AG : I don´t think I have one. Most of the days when it´s sunny, warm, windy and your friends are kiting next to you are incredible!!
 
KA : When you do not kite, what do you do?
AG : I´m still at uni, so when I don´t kite I´m normally studying, but I also like to try some other sports like surfing or skating, or I just hang around with friends.
 
KA : What is the best spot for you?
AG : Guess it´s not one spot, it is rather a combination of wave spot on one side and totally flat water spot on the other side. :)
KA : Do you prefer fish or meat?
AG : I think meat, but I´m not sure :P

KA : What is the move you are working on now?
AG : S-pass, KGB
 
KA : In what style of kite do you excel?
AG : Since always it was all about freestyle, but recently I´m also a lot into wave riding.
 
KA : 2010 is coming quickly, what is your program for this new year?
AG : I would like to check myself on snow, so at the beginning of 2010 I would like to do some snowkiting events. Than again in the summer I will so some World Tour events. In between that I plan to make few photo trips hopefully to new places, where I haven´t been yet, where is warm, windy and wavy!
 
KA : Ecology and sustainable development are increasingly present even in the kite, what is your point of view on this subject?
AG : Ha! I actually study about that all the time. Well my point of view is that of course we have to take care about the enviroment and our planet, but I think it´s a long time until people will actually understand how important sustainable development is.
For now for me the most important thing is that us riders, same as all other people who kite, surf, etc... keep their closest surroundings clean and especially beaches and oceans. That´s what allows us to do our sport, so why make them messy?? It´s not hard to put empty water bottle in your car and throw it to the bin, and if all of us do that we will keep the spots nice and clean, exactly how we want it to be :)
