After a tremendous and successful week, the Mondial Du Vent 2009 – the first tour stop of the Official PKRA World Tour 2009 is on its last day. What started as a rain-soaked competition turned out to be a stunning show of action-packed kiteboarding event which saw many of the best and world-class kiteboarders performing their best tricks in the Freestyle event as well as in the Best Trick/Board-Off discipline.

Today’s weather turned out sunny and warmer than yesterday as long as the sun was out. Around noon, a cloud cover moved in which made the air a lot cooler. After a little while, the skies cleared once again and the sun was back in full force warming the event area once again.

The awards ceremony for the Freestyle winners started at around 15:00h in the center of the event village and the massive crowd packed around the stage to see their favorite athletes and the prizes given out to the winners. The ceremony lasted for about 30 minutes.
