Exmouth seafront was a mass of colour, activity and people having a lot of fun on the water last Saturday.

Watersports enthusiasts travel from all over the country for days like last weekend.

Local kitesurfers, commonly known as The Bridglets, have been practising hard this winter and, at only eight years old, the youngest - Tom Bridge, is the youngest kitesurfer in the UK and will, this year, compete on the British Kitesurf tour.

Kitesurfing is a rapidly growing sport.

Owners Eric and Steph Bridge, from Edgewatersports, in Exmouth, said: "Kitesurfing and windsurfing brings more people to Exmouth to spend money in the local shops, accommodation and restaurants.

"Many even buy second homes in the area and spread the great Exmouth news that drives more people to the area. This supports local businesses and puts Exmouth on the map."

l There will be bank holiday weekend demonstration of kayaks and paddleboards, from noon on Sunday, May 3 and Monday, May 4.

Wetsuits, buoyancy aids and spray tops will all be provided, plus free tuition and hands-on advice.

If you have a kayak that you wish to trade in for a different model then take it along.

Ride in kayak, flysurf, windsurf and kitesurf Tshoooo.
